This is a sketch that was done as an homage to the free improv music created by Max Roach. It was performed, presented, and recorded for a recital Sam organized at Loyola Univeristy called "A Tribute to Max Roach." It is completely freely improvised, and includes the following Crooked members: Dexter on guitar, and Sam on drums; as well as two players who are an expansion of the Crooked family: Calvin Morin-Martin on upright bass, and Andrew Landry on guitar. Once we got the recording of this performance, we recruited Crooked members Nick (sax) and Ben (trumpet) to record freely improvised melodies over it. We hope you enjoy this Crooked sketch.
